How do we choose our home? For each of us there is always a certain criteria where we begin our search. Whether it is price, location or size. When we begin the process, we have already drawn out a road map designed to find the perfect home for us. We know not to look at million dollar homes if our price range is $500,000. We know not to look at homes that are 2 bedrooms when we know we need four. Therefore, our search is always geared towards what we know is best for us. We had the opportunity to purchase it and bring back the circa 1864 charm that was covered by years of remodeling. It is now an amazing representation of 1860’s period homes inside and out. When the opportunity came to reassemble the remaining Galt property that had been sold off over the years, we acquired it knowing that we could build a unique and innovative community. When complete, the residents and their visitors will be able to enjoy evenings by the outdoor fireplaces, socialize at the Pool Barn, compare gardening tips in their private gardens, or just walk downtown to take in some live music at the new Depot Park Amphitheater. The project design uniquely reflects the Kennesaw Historic District Architectural Standards while incorporating the site design standards of the Central Business District Form Based Code. Pedestrian through-ways will utilize landscaping, pathways, and private gardens to create distinct, vibrant, and active spaces.
